MMAPICS is a worldwide combat sports directory. This page explains in plain language what data we collect through the site, what is public, what is private, and how to request a change or removal. This is a practical MVP privacy notice, not legal advice.
What we collect from submission forms
When you submit a club, event or business we collect the details you enter: listing name, location (country, region, town), description, category, website, opening info and contact details (your name, email and optionally phone).
We use this to review the submission, contact you if more info is needed, and — once approved — to display the public parts of your listing.
What is public vs private
Public (after approval): listing name, category/discipline, country/region/town, description, website, listing images and any business contact details you choose to publish.
Private: your personal email address, phone number (unless you explicitly make it a public contact for the listing), submission notes, moderation notes and internal status.
Email notifications
We send transactional emails through notify.mmapics.com when you submit a listing, when its status changes, when a review is submitted, and when an update request is processed. These are operational emails about your own submission, not marketing.
Image uploads
Images uploaded as part of a club, event or business submission are stored in MMAPICS storage and published as part of the listing if approved. Only upload images you have the right to use.
Reviews
Anyone can submit a review of an approved listing. Reviews are manually moderated before they appear publicly. The reviewer's email is collected for moderation only and is never displayed publicly. The displayed reviewer name should not include personal data you do not want public.
Contact and update requests
Contact form messages and listing update requests are stored so we can respond. They are visible only to MMAPICS moderators.
Manual moderation
All submissions, reviews and update requests are reviewed by a human before publication. We may reject, edit or remove content that breaches the listing or review policy.
Requesting correction or removal
If you are the owner of a listing and want to correct or remove it, use the "Request an update" button on your listing or contact us via the contact page. If a review about your listing breaches the review policy, contact us with the listing URL and the issue.
Children
MMAPICS is intended for general audiences. Submission and review forms are for adults — under-18s should not submit reviews. Kids classes refer to programmes offered by clubs, not user accounts for children.
